Positivity is a tonic that keeps us going -- even in the darkest of times. With the entire nation under a three-week lockdown in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic, people are required to stay home. With family-time being a luxury in the life of a professional footballer, the extended span at home is a "lift in spirits,” as Blue Tigers defender Adil Khan described. "During the season we miss being away from our loved ones. They sacrifice so much just to keep up focused, and whatever opportunities we get to spend quality time with them and express our gratitude, it's always special,” he stated. “The current situation is a challenging one for people across the world, and getting to spend these days at home together with my wife has raised my spirits and mood.” It was in April last year that Adil tied the knot with Khuri Irani, a popular sports presenter, and the two of them are currently at their home in Mumbai. Khuri talked abo

AIFF and LOC Statement on the postponement of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020 The All India Football Federation and Local Organising Committee are supportive of the decision by FIFA to postpone FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. We agree that this has been made with the highest regard for public health, and the participating teams, host cities, staff and visiting fans, and keeps the best interests of everyone in mind. We were, of course, looking forward to hosting the Tournament in November this year, but at the same time, we are mindful of all those around the world and in our country potentially impacted by our decisions. For us at the moment, the primary concern is the health and wellbeing of every stakeholder involved in the Tournament. We don’t want to take any risk that is detrimental to our community before it is clear that there is no threat to people’s health due to this pandemic. The LOC and AIFF will work with FIFA to determine the most suitable dates f

Halder who wore the captain's armband against Bahrain in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 has taken up the responsibility of providing food to some underprivileged kids who earn their bread on daily basis. "There are a lot of underprivileged kids at the Barrackpore Mangal Pandey Football Coaching Camp who earn on a daily basis. The situation is a bit difficult now.
