ISL schedule will have changes due to Bengaluru FC participating in the AFC Cup
India’s Bengaluru FC,
who won the Federation Cup last season at the expense of Mohun Bagan, will play
their preliminary two-legged fixture against Bhutan’s Transport United on
January 23rd (away) and 30th (home) respectively.
As a consequence, their
midweek away fixture in the Indian Super League (ISL) against Chennaiyin FC
which is currently scheduled for 31st January will have to be postponed.

Should Bengaluru FC win
their tie against the Bhutanese opponents, they would then take part in the
play-off which is scheduled for February 13th (away) and 20th (home).
Sandwiched between the two play-offs is their home game against FC Pune City on
the 16th.
Also AFC Cup’s Group E
fixtures are to kick-start from March 6 onward. If the JSW-owned franchise make
it into the ISL play-offs, it will be interesting to see if the fixtures do not
clash with the two-legged semi-finals scheduled to take place in the second
week of March.
