2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers:Initial 35 players list for National football camp in Mumbai

For the preparation for India’s forthcoming AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 qualifying match against the Kyrgyzstan Republic 35 players are short listed. The Indian National football coach Stephen Constantine announced the initial list of players name for the national camp in Mumbai. Which include eight Under 22 players which is a good sign for the future of Indian football. The camp will start at the Mumbai Andheri Sports Complex from May 20, 2017.

There are several new faces in the list which include three players from I-League champion Aizawl FC, left-back Lalruatthara, midfielder Laldanmawia Ralte and goalkeeper Albino Gomes. From Mohun Bagan Subhasish Bose and Debjit Majumder who won the Best Goal keeper award in I-League. Isaac Vanlalsawma, Chinglensana Singh, Vishal Kaith are from Shillong Lajong FC. Nishu Kumar from Bengaluru FC and Jerry Lalrinzuala from DSK Shivajians.

“We will be having the Camp in two stages and have invited 21 players for stage 1. The stage 2 will kick-off when the remainder of the squad, ie, players from Mohun Bagan and JSW Bengaluru FC join in after finishing their respective Club commitments for the AFC Cup,” Constantine said.

India will play a friendly match against Lebanon on June 7th before hosting Kyrgyzstan Republic. The crucial AFC Asian Cup Qualifier match will be played in Bengaluru on 13th June 2017.

Midfielders: Seitysasen Singh, Jackichand Singh, Bikash Jairu, Halicharan Narzary, Dhanpal Ganesh, Rowllin Borges, Mohammad Rafique, Milan Singh, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Udanta Singh, Cavin Lobo, Laldanmawia Ralte (U-22), Isaac Vanlalsawma (U-22).

Defenders: Arnab Mondal, Anas Edathodika, Sandesh Jhingan, Pritam Kotal, Fulganco Cardozo, Narayan Das, Chinglensana Singh (U-22), Lalruatthara (U-22), Jerry Lalrinzuala (U-22), Subhasish Bose (U-22), Nishu Kumar (U-22).
