AFC Asian Cup 2019: China PR National Football Team arrived UEA



Abu Dhabi: China PR's Marcello Lippi and his charges arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, ahead of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 which kicks off in seven days.

Team Dragon are in Group C with two-time champions Korea Republic, tournament debutants Philippines and Kyrgyz Republic, who will be their first group opponents on January 7 at the Sheikh Khalifa International Stadium.

Leading up to the Continental showpiece, China had suffered a 2-1 loss to Iraq, and were denied a win against Jordan when the West Asians came back from a goal down to salvage a 1-1 draw.

The East Asians will have one last tune-up match against UAE Pro League club Al Wahda on January 2.
