Kerala Football Association launches official logo for Kerala Women’s League 2021-22 on Friday, October 29. MM Jacob, former Indian International as well as former Kerala coach and player, did the honours at the Maharaja’s College Stadium Ground in Kochi, after the final of the 23rd Senior Women’s Inter-District Championship.

The logo of the Kerala Women’s League 2021-22 shows a woman playing football. “By playing the game she earns her wings to achieve her aspirations and dreams. The logo is inspired by the statement: Women should be in-charge and should also take charge of their respective destiny,” Kerala Football Association (KFA)’s official statement read.


The last edition of the Kerala Women’s League was conducted in the 2013-14 season. Hence, when the league restarts later this year, it will be bring an end to a seven-year-long hiatus. As of now, six teams including Gokulam Kerala, Luca SC and Travancore Royals have confirmed their participation. While Kerala United will also setup their women’s team soon, it remains to be seen as to whether or not they will participate in the 2021-22 edition of the KWL.


Kerala Women’s League 2021-22 Fixture will be released later. KFA are trying to kick-start KWL 2021-22 by mid-November. The state association are hoping to conclude the league by January 2022, so that the winning team can secure a direct entry to the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2021-22.
