WIFA Women's Football League: Footie First thrash Snigmay FC by 4-0

 


Western India Football Association Women's Football League 21/22 (IWL Qualifiers) Footie First thrash Snigmay FC by 4-0.

Match was held at WIFA Stadium, Cooperage, Mumbai 5:00pm 02/01/2022.

A determined Footie First entered the pitch to make a comeback after a 1–1 result in the previous match against Kenkre FC, while Snigmay FC went into the match in search of their first win of the campaign. 

Mumbai’s Footie First threatened the opponent from the very first whistle and created plenty of scoring opportunities and Atisha Saini scored in just the 16th minute of the game. She doubled Footie First’s lead in the 31st minute and they went into the dressing room with a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Footie First dominated the second half as well and Atisha completed her hat-trick in the 52nd minute. 

In the 69th minute, captain Mamta Kumari scored from the spot to make the scoreline 4-0 in favor of Footie First. Snigmay FC fought hard till the last minute of the game but failed to score. The referee blew the final whistle and Footie First got off to a great start in 2022 with a big win.
